The Homes of Hope Apartment Project
This campaign is focused on purchasing the two Homes of Hope apartments in Bucharest, Romania— family-style homes that provide safe, Christ-centered care for children who have been orphaned or abandoned. Currently, these homes operate as rentals, creating a significant ongoing expense that limits resources for caregiving, discipleship, and daily support.
By securing ownership of the apartments, we can help create long-term stability for the ministry and the children who call these homes family, allowing more resources to be invested into what matters most: helping each child grow in a loving, supportive environment filled with hope. To learn more about the heart behind this project, watch the short video above from Ryan and Nikki Rice.
More Than an Apartment
For the children who live in Homes of Hope, this is more than just a place to stay—it is a place to belong.
Here, children who have experienced abandonment, instability, and trauma are welcomed into a loving family environment where they are known, supported, and cared for each day. Through consistent relationships, Christ-centered guidance, and the faithfulness of those walking alongside them, many of these children have begun to experience healing, hope, and the love of God in deeply personal ways. As you hear their stories, we invite you to see the impact of a home filled with love, stability, and the hope of Christ.
What is Home of Hope?
Homes of Hope is made up of two family-style apartments in Bucharest, Romania-- one for boys and one for girls-- where children who have been orphaned or abandoned are raised in a safe, loving, Christ-centered home. Many of these children have experienced deep instability and trauma, but here they are known, supported, and cared for as family. These children are given the opportunity to heal, grow, and experience the hope and belonging that come as a result of having a stable, Godly environment to call home.

What is CTL Romania?
CTL Romania is a Christ-centered local ministry partner of Children to Love International, serving vulnerable children and families in Bucharest. The team is deeply invested in the lives of children within Romania’s child protection system, sharing the Gospel and providing emotional, spiritual, and practical support to children in government care. CTL Romania also serves low-income and at-risk families, Roma communities, children with special needs, and patients in pediatric oncology units— walking alongside each with ongoing care, support, and the hope of Christ.

What is Children to Love International?
Children to Love International is a Christ-centered nonprofit founded in 1993 in response to the Romanian orphan crisis. Today, CTL serves alongside locally led partner ministries in Romania, India, Uganda, Ukraine, and Thailand to care for orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children in the name of Jesus. Each ministry is led by local leaders who understand their communities and provide long-term support through education, discipleship, family care, practical assistance, and social intervention. Through these partnerships, CTL helps vulnerable children grow into independent adults and committed followers of Christ.
