Linda Han

CTL holds a special place in Linda’s heart, as it is where she first learned about accounting. Accounting wasn’t on her radar in college, but she learned that she really enjoyed fitting all the numbers together and analyzing what they mean. Linda has been an integral part of CTL for the last 10+ years, and since CTL started out as a smaller nonprofit, her job has been many things. Lately her primary focus is finances, and we’re thankful for it!

Linda is a Bakersfield transplant, originally from Northern California. She moved to Bakersfield for a job after college and has been here ever since. She married her husband Phong in 2013 and they have a clever elementary-aged son named Wesley. Between Linda and Phong, they have 24 nieces and nephews! Linda attended the College of Idaho where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Politics & Economics.

Linda loves working for CTL for so many reasons. She says that most people in her generation are looking for work they feel is meaningful, work they feel makes a difference beyond providing them with a salary, and she has the privilege of having that kind of work. She knows that our overseas partners are caring for children in need day in and day out, and are continuously sharing the gospel and making disciples in their communities. What a gift it is to support their work!

Favorite scripture: “I very much like all of scripture, but a verse God has used in my life over and over is John 15:16 (NET) – ‘You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.’"

We asked Linda, "If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why?"

Linda: “Conchiglie, which is the shell pasta. Because I'm pretty open about myself and my life, but sometimes there is stuff hidden in there. And I'm not always as open to new experiences as I would like.”
